A practical background that makes the difference
Before qualifying as a surveyor, Stuart spent 15 years running his own carpentry business, working hands-on across a wide range of modern and traditional homes. This background gives him a practical understanding of how buildings are constructed, altered, maintained and repaired, as well as how defects can develop over time.
He has since gained residential surveying experience with several established companies, including one of the UK’s largest providers of home survey reports. His work has involved inspecting a broad range of properties and advising on defects, maintenance issues, construction related risks and matters requiring further investigation.
Today, that combination of formal surveying training, AssocRICS membership and practical construction experience supports every survey. Defects are considered in context and explained clearly, helping you understand what the issue means, why it matters and what your next steps may be.
