Our services
Sterling Chase Surveys Limited provides residential surveying services, including property surveys, roof surveys and single defect reports. The information on this website is provided for general guidance only and does not form a contract unless we have issued and confirmed written terms of engagement for a specific instruction.
Terms of engagement
All survey services are subject to separate written terms of engagement, which will set out the agreed scope of work, fee, limitations, payment terms and client responsibilities. A survey will not normally proceed until our terms of engagement have been accepted and any required payment has been received.
Our reports
Our reports are prepared for the named client only and for the purpose stated in the report. They should not be relied upon by any third party without our written consent. Reports are based on a visual inspection of the property and are subject to the limitations set out in the relevant terms of engagement and report.
Limitations
We aim to provide clear, professional and reliable advice. However, surveying services do not include opening up the building fabric, testing services, moving furniture or stored items, or inspecting areas that are unsafe, concealed or inaccessible, unless expressly agreed in writing.
Fees and quotations
Fees, service descriptions and availability may be updated from time to time. Any quotation provided will be based on the information available at the time and may be revised if the property type, size, condition, location or instruction details change.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing all relevant information before the inspection, including details of known defects, alterations, guarantees, certificates, leasehold matters and any other relevant documents. Access to the property will normally be arranged by the surveyor through the selling agent or other nominated representative. The client should advise the surveyor of any known access restrictions or areas requiring special arrangements.
No professional advice
Nothing on this website should be treated as legal, financial or specialist technical advice. Where appropriate, you should obtain advice from your legal adviser, mortgage adviser, contractor or relevant specialist.
Complaints
We operate a Complaints Handling Procedure in accordance with RICS requirements. A copy is available on request and can be viewed on our Complaints Handling Procedure page.
Changes to these Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.
